The Lord and faith in Jesus Christ has transformed my life.
At age 6, in 1969, I was diagnosed with type one diabetes, at age 21 (at ASU as a RA of a dormitory) I lost my eyesight for 21/2 years, by God’s grace my eyesight slowly returned, by age 28 my kidney was failing and I required a transplant.
I was one of the first kidney - pancreas dual organ transplants ever done at the University of Minnesota and that kidney worked for 10- years and I was not a diabetic for 7.
In 2001, My husband Jon gave me his kidney in after failure of the cadaveric transplant and ithat kidney has lasted 23 years but, started to fail after a second open heart surgery during covid in 2021.
After 20 tests (nasal swabs) I never tested positive for covid or RSV. I have been on dialysis since 2021 and Jon and I are currently the only couple doing Nocturnal Home Hemo Dialysis nightly from home.
I have a tunneled catheter chest port which we use for that purpose. We have a centrifuge, dialysis machine and other materials here at home, like a mini hospital.
To mange by Type One without another pancreas transplant, I became an Apple Developer to build an app called Loop which manages my diabetes through a Continuous Glucose Monitor, (Dexcom) and an insulin pump. It is called Loop. (Check out Looped Group on Facebook or LoopDocs):

I work to help people, typically families with children with diabetes build apps for their children which they can in real time manage while their child is at school.
I am fragile, but God continues in his grace and I am alive with both feet which they recently considered amputating due to lack of blood after a 14 day hospital stay and surgery for my abdominal stent.
The stents to my legs were blocked with peripheral artery disease and needed to be cleaned and/or replaced.
This was a surgery I went in hospital for in April of 2024, but was cancelled due to an emergency heart issue. The most recent surgery at Mayo 14 days ago. Doctors questioned whether my foot with increased circulation would heal or I would die on the table due to heart issues.
Once again, by God’s grace I lived through surgery and blood flow increased in my foot. I am praying for God’s healing of my toe without infection and value your prayers.
I will never give up and rely on faith in the Lord,and his mercy in addition to prayer to help me heal from heart failure, kidney failure, and type one diabetes.
Doctors treat, but the Lord our savior, Jesus Christ heals. Be well and please investigate the tremendous healing power of our great GOD.💜
